Although the graphics might be outdated, and multiplayer is dead, the game is doesn’t lose its fun and the answer to get multiplayer back, you use GameRanger to host and join some multiplayer games. You’ll be surprise to see how many BSM lobbies there are that are open when you use GameRanger. Is it worth the time and price, of couse it’s a yes and I do recommend the game. Technically Battlestations:Pacific is even better in every way, but this game doesn't have Games for Windows Live, so it runs no problemo.. This is quite a few "simulators" in one. You can fly a plane, ride a battleship, dive a (not yellow) submarine and use an AA boat. All of them are really neat (although airplanes are a little ehh). There are multiple types of those watercrafts/planes. Those types that you expect to take part of World War 2 are obviously present.Now gameplay-wise it's really fun and a tad challenging, but nothing frustrating. I was surprised at how good it looks for how old it is.. Sort of badly aged. Short, horribly written campaign with a couple of extra missions. The gameplay was confusing, with obvious limitations what you can and cannot do. It takes a lot of time to get into a position, were you can deal damage to the enemy fleet. I'd go as far as saying that it's boring. There are also no savepoints, so if you fail, you have to restart the whole mission. Is pretty poor visually as well, looks more like a war game from the early 2000's rather than a modern one. Did not have much fun with it at all.
